A written reply from a person, not an automated message. With the two or three questions we still need answered, if any.

First conversation
By video call or at your offices. We listen, we ask questions, and we tell you what we think — including that the subject is not ours to handle.

One written page: what we understood, the routes we see, what would need checking. It is yours, even if we go no further.

Scope, method, schedule and price. One follow-up from us afterwards; beyond that, we do not press.
Frequently asked questions
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes, and so is the written feedback that follows. We get something out of it too: that is how we decide whether a project suits us, and it stops us building a proposal on a need we have misunderstood.
Do you work with small organisations?
Yes. Some of our work is counted in days, not months: an access review, reworking a process, a two-day training course. We have no minimum billing threshold.
Can you take over a project someone else started?
Regularly. We start with a technical assessment: what can be salvaged, what cannot, and what each of the two routes would cost. Only then do we take a position, with figures to back it.
What does a project cost?
We publish no price list: a figure quoted without seeing the context commits no one. The billing model, though, is public — fixed price, capped time and materials, or subscription, depending on what is known when we commit. See how we bill.
Where is the data hosted?
According to your choice and the sensitivity of the data: on your own hosting, with a regional provider, or with an international one. We set out the constraints of each option, including those that count against us.
Are you hiring?
Speculative applications are read. Choose “A job application” in the form and describe what you can do, rather than the training you have been through.
